Vegetative dystonia

What is vegetative dystonia?

Vegetative dystonia is a syndrome that includes a variety of origin and manifestations of the somatic function disorders, which is caused by disorder of the autonomic regulation. Striated and smooth muscle of blood vessels are several tense - this natural tension of the muscles is called muscle tone. Due to reduced muscle tone heart beats rhythmically, the arteries expand and contract. In case of violation of the natural process of tensing and relaxing the muscles there is dystonia. If the violation of physical regulation of the autonomic nervous system, then this condition is called vegetative dystonia. The autonomic nervous system (ANS) innervates all internal organs.
